About the Position:


     Type: Full Time Regular

     Compensation: Base + year's of experience 

Location: Primary location is 9201 E. Mountain View, Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85258. Position is remote. 

Hours: Days, Evenings, occasional weekends and flexible

The Director of Analytics will play a key leadership role in all aspects of clinical data and analytic strategy, infrastructure database planning as well as implementation and execution of the platform to advance data discovery at Matrix Clinical Trials . The director will assist in setting and operationalizing priorities and objectives, and tactical analytic efforts to continuously advance Matrix Clinical Trials as the leader in global decentralized trials. They will have a strategic role driving data analytic strategy for decentralized clinical trials.


Must possess strong knowledge of clinical trial analytics (SQL, Hadoop, Hanna , cloud base advance analytics).




  • Responsible and accountable for analytics strategic direction for clinical trials division to include design, implementation, and validation.
  • Provide clinical informatics and analytics leadership throughout the organization in collaboration with stakeholders to integrate financial, operational, and clinical data.
  • Support key Enterprise Information System led analytics committees for initiatives and project management.
  • Provide clinical informatics and analytics expertise to the design and development of programs and projects to ensure delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based care.
  • In conjunction with key leaders, ensure that structures are in place to support development and monitoring of effective patient alignment across the Matrix Medical
  • Enrich communication for stakeholders in the design, delivery, and evaluation of analytic initiatives.
  • Maintain familiarity with new clinical systems technology thereby advising Enterprise Information System and clinical staff as to which systems may be appropriate and capable of supporting strategic
  • Work with regional and national partners for development of analytics to improve clinical  trials outcomes.
  • Enhance contributions and promote leadership including professional development.


Must Haves:


  • 7 – 10 years of experience working in clinical trial analytics
  • Preferred experience engaging with decentralized / virtual trial models and technologies data extraction
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and operationalize validated data analytics in clinical trials
  • Experience with multiple informatics and/or analytics platforms
  • Working knowledge of advance analytic platforms
  • BS required; Advanced Degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of clinical trial analytics (SQL, Hadoop, Hanna , cloud base advance analytics)
  • Experience with clinical trials digital ecosystem
  • Ability to coordinate complex data and manage multiple trials at the same time
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities which may involve competing deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with proven track record of excellence
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with different kinds of people
  • Prior experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to set goals and deliver results against KPIs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, rapidly shifting environment and navigating ambiguity
  • Personable team player


Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibilities at this time. (*subject to change)

Travel Requirements: Travel may be required. Average 25% and based on business needs.
