    As an EMT/Paramedic Unit Manager in an ever-growing organization, you will be presented the opportunity to supervise the daily operations of the mobile unit and to utilize your specific skill set to offer awareness, education and preventive health tests.     $50k-58k salary, plus bonus. No holidays. 14-16 hour shifts. Advancement available.


    Must be able to travel outside of home state for up to 7 days at a time.


    This position requires frequent to constant standing throughout the workday.  Candidates must be able to keep up with these physical demands throughout entire duration of shift.  


    All applicants must have a clean driving record and must be at least 25 years of age to be in compliance with our minimum requirements for driving one of our mobile units. A full Motor Vehicles Record check must be completed and cleared before applicants can be interviewed.


    Full time positions available for an individual dedicated to strong customer service and patient care and the ability to manage a busy mobile medical clinic. Daily responsibilities include operational and clinical oversight of 4-8 staff, inventory supply management, quality assurance and control, scheduling mechanical repairs, and customer relations for major insurance companies within the Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid populations. Paid training is provided.


    HealthFair is a mobile health and wellness company that partners with major insurance providers to discover, diagnose, and test for long term chronic diseases such as congestive heart failure, COPD, diabetes, PAD, neuropathy to meet the regulatory HCC, HEDIS, STARS and quality measures.


    A variety of point of care testing such as lab work (fingerstick), ultrasound, spirometry, Digital Retinopathy Screening, ABI and EKG is immediately available to validate old conditions or diagnose new conditions affecting the long term health of our patients. These test are performed under the supervision of the Medical Director and in conjunction with a team of nurses, cardiovascular technologists, and medical assistants.





    The Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful operation of the mobile unit including the daily operational and clinical oversight of four (4) to eight (8) staff members, monitoring performance, inventory supply management, quality assurance and control, scheduling mechanical repairs, and customer relations for major insurance companies within the Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid populations. The Unit Manager works with other departments to promote usage of the mobile unit and other community agencies to increase the level of care in the communities we serve.




    • Oversee district training, and supervise all field personnel including cardiovascular technicians and medical assistants
    • Foster a spirit of teamwork and instill a sense of company pride in his/her teams
    • Oversee the quality of all clinical testing
    • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols set by the Medical Director
    • Partner with the Clinical Training Director to improve the clinical performance of technicians
    • Partner with the Quality Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to federal and state requirements
    • Oversee that first class customer service is continuously provided
    • Ensure that team leaders are submitting appropriate and required paper and electronic documentation to the corporate office in an accurate and timely manner
    • Oversee the on-the-site sales process of all the teams by setting specific goal targets
    • Complete monthly staffing assignments on each team
    • Oversee the ordering process of all disposable supplies
    • Manage the equipment inventory
    • Responsible for driving the mobile unit to and from health fair locations, prepping the mobile unit at least 2 hours before the event is scheduled and closing it down at the end of the day. Parking the mobile unit at approved, secure locations.
    • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures by every staff member
    • Together with Human Resources, outlines and drives talent resource management and development programs within the team. Manages performance management initiatives
    • Implement company changes  
    • Attend periodic meetings as required by the CEO or V.P. of Operations
    • Attend conferences and conventions on behalf of the company as requested by the CEO or V.P. of Operations
    • Ensure compliance of all company-required federal, state, and Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
    • Maintain positive control of all PHI information
    • Participates in all mandatory compliance and other training programs, seeks guidance for compliance-related concerns and adheres to all applicable laws, regulations and Matrix policies and procedures
    • Other duties as required


    Educational Requirements


    • Associate’s Degree preferred
    • Minimum two (2) + years of management experience, health care field preferred, with direct staff oversight
    • Quality assurance and quality control experience
    • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification and/or applicable state license required
    • Certified Paramedic background preferred
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, which may include Adult, Child, and Infant Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    • Current Commercial Driver License required   


    Required Skills and Abilities:


    • Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience
    • Demonstrated experience driving an ambulance, fire truck or other commercial vehicle
    • Track record of working well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines; proven time management, multi-tasking, prioritization and follow-up skills in a rapidly changing growth environment
    • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate to all levels throughout the organization using written, verbal and listening skills
    • Uses logical methods to solve problems with effective solutions; looks beyond the obvious for solutions
    • Outstanding teamwork and multitasking skills; effectively maintains collaborative and productive working relationships
    • Passion for working with members/patients, changing lives with a comforting bedside manner

    • Ability to think independently, make decisions, while adhering to company standards and guidelines
    • Ability to drive the mobile clinic
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including, Outlook, Word and Excel, and SharePoint

    Supervisory Responsibility

    The Unit Manager will primarily be responsible for the oversight and supervision of:

    • The mobile unit staff, including Echo Vascular Technician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician’s Assistant, Mammography Technologist and Medical Screening Technician


    Travel RequirementsMay be asked to travel, state to state, overnight, or for weeks at a time. Expected to be at the designated location on time accordingly to the schedule that has been provided by the manager.


    Physical and Psychological Demands:

    • Requires prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and/or stretching from seated or standing positions
    • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate medical equipment, computers other office equipment
    • Requires close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust visual focus, hearing and smelling
    • Must be able to communicate information via telephone or computer
    • Requires moderate to intense concentration due to complexity of the job
    • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to observe “Universal Precautions” for blood-borne pathogens and body fluids
