    Summary:

    The Payroll Tax Administrator is responsible for monitoring and reconciling payroll taxes at the employee and employer level. The administrator will also serve as a backup for payroll processing.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in the processing of payroll data for multiple companies.
    • Ensures that computing, withholding and/or deductions associated with net pay is done properly.
    • Monitor quarterly tax filings; reconcile payroll reports to 941s and W-2s.
    • Manage filing of tax updates
    • Research and reconciliation of payroll taxes from prior periods
    • Reconcile payroll tax reporting after each pay run to ensure accurate tax filing by tax service provider
    • Special projects and research
    • Familiar with a variety of payroll and accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Perform tax setup of new and transferring employees.
    • Employee customer service
    • Organizes and reviews forms associated with federal, state and local authorities
    • Work with accounting department to research and reconcile out of balance items
    • Work with Federal, State and local agencies in regard to account ID’s, rates and compliance
    • Keep current with payroll tax regulations

    Qualifications

    • Strong multi-state taxation experience
    • Minimum of 3–5 years experience in payroll
    • Tax and garnishment experience
    • Ultimate Software experience preferred but not required
    • Strong team player
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Must be able to work in a fast growing, rapidly evolving business
    • Must be well organized with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong tax filing experience including W-2s
    • Associate Arts Degree and Certified Payroll Professional preferred
