    The Manager, Field Service Planning is responsible for the end to end processes to ensure that our practitioners can successfully complete Comprehensive Health Assessments (CHAs) and Quality Gap Closure visits in a combination of home, facility, and mobile settings.


    He or she will perform a critical role to ensure multiple divisions within Matrix are aligned on internal and external production targets, as well as, driving action across departments to ensure those targets are met and will work to solve challenges that could impede production.


    This position analyzes client demand and works with the Production Operations Analysts to appropriately plan the capacity to meet the clients' demand. The Manager will be the main point of contact for addressing issues with staffing, overall capacity utilization, and production and also will be responsible for generating reports and summarizing key information for the executive management team.






    • Primary accountability regarding production operations for home, facility, or mobile. Reports out to upper management daily on the status of key performance indicators
    • Manage a team of Production Operations Analysts and ensure maximum provider utilization and efficiency. Maintain and hold meetings with Regional Directors and Operations Managers to ensure everyone is aligned with the most up to date numbers and required actions
    • Fully understands all the assigned region’s key metrics. Must be able to identify any potential challenge that may derail production schedules and react accordingly in a timely manner.
    • Work with the Command Center, Clinical Operations, Credentialing and Recruiting to ensure assigned regions are meeting all key performance indicators
    • Manage the staffing levels and locations for the employees in your assigned areas. Understand client demand and be able to quickly evaluate and provide staff recommendations for backfills and additional needed requisitions.
    • Create timetables for each step of the assessment scheduling process for assigned geographic area/clients, ensuring the proper materials are available and the production partners are ready to meet demand and delivery schedules , while tracking the workflow impact throughout the organization
    • Collaborate and cooperation with the Production Planning and Clinical Operations, create and approve monthly production plans
    • Review assigned client production levels on a daily basis; ensure production schedules are still on track
    • Review Provider availability, schedules, inventory levels and assignments to ensure production goals will be met on a daily basis
    • Ensure new Provider start dates are still on schedule; ensure that all required credentialing/licensing needs are met
    • Implement and maintain various status reports and tracking tools.
    • Attend status and scheduling meetings throughout the day
    • Generate capacity and production Ad hoc reports for internal and external stake holders
    • Identify trends and issues that hinder production and provide solutions for resolution
    • Prepare executive level presentations regarding production, capacity, and membership
    • Other duties as required






    Educational Requirements:

    Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Computer Science, Economics or equivalent in-depth specialized training program.  Advanced degree preferred.

    Six Sigma Green Belt preferred


    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • This position requires progressive experience and responsibilities in a production/scheduling/logistics environment, as well as solid understanding of production and logistical processes.
    • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in production planning, production operations, logistics/fleet services, workforce management, material operations or scheduling function in a field service, supply, logistics, transportation or healthcare environment
    • Strong analytical skills, with an aptitude for understanding business environment and translating business requirements
    • Demonstrated understanding of production processes
    • Ability to handle multiple assignments, prioritize activities, and meet established goals in a rapidly changing environment
    • Superior communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners
    • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate to all levels throughout the organization using written, verbal and listening skills
    • Track record of working well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines; proven time management, multi-tasking, prioritization and follow-up skills in a rapidly changing growth environment
    • Experience working with and proficiency using an MRP based computer system 
    • Advanced proficiency of MS Word, Excel, Tableau, PowerPoint and other office software tools 
    • Knowledge of MS SQL Server and statistical reporting software preferred, but not required
    • Advanced ability in math and computer skills


    Supervisory Responsibility:


    Production Operations Manager will be assigned to a specific region or product and needs to be able to effectively manage a team of analysts.
