    Seeking a Dynamic Clinical & Corporate Recruiting Leader 


    The Vice President, Talent Acquisition is a key member of the HR leadership team, and has the responsibility of developing and leading a talent acquisition team to meet and exceed the needs of a growing organization with a highly decentralized clinical workforce.   This leader is responsible for transforming recruiting strategies from vision into reality by creating an amazing team who knows how to creatively source, engage, prioritize, measure what matters and use thoughtful sourcing tools, techniques and technology to create the best candidate experience, optimal processes and talent communities.


    Reporting to the CPO, the VP, Talent Acquisition must build deep relationships and collaborate with Matrix’s HR leadership team, the senior leadership team as well as all hiring managers at Matrix to stay aligned to the businesses priorities, competency needs and hiring priorities.

    In December 2017, Matrix acquired LP Health Services – formerly the healthcare division of LifePlans, Inc.  LP Health was an innovative partner to Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid health plans across the country, delivering solutions such as community and post-acute assessments, programs that help close quality care gaps and services aimed to engage hard-to-reach members. Adding those capabilities to Matrix’s established programs allows Matrix to offer the most complete and comprehensive set of quality and revenue solutions in the industry.  The acquisition also gave Matrix more than 4,000 clinical providers across all 50 states with a wide variety of clinical skill levels.


    In February 2018, Matrix acquired HealthFair, the leading provider of mobile health assessments. This addition gives health plan members more options and flexibility to access care, leading to even higher levels of engagement. The advanced capabilities of the mobile clinics, including laboratory, ultrasound, EKG and mammography equipment, expands the scope of diagnostic and preventive services available to members, further improving compliance and health outcomes. With the addition of HealthFair, Matrix’s network increased to more than 6,000 community-based providers across all 50 states, and through its relationship with leading health plan and provider groups across the country, Matrix’s services are now available to nearly one in five Medicare Advantage members.


    • Responsible for a team of recruiters to drive client service, ensure a candidate-focused experience, promote diversity within the candidate pool and hire qualified candidates to meet Matrix’s needs.
    • Lead the recruiting team by mentoring, developing talent to ensure they have a deep understanding of the business and are meeting and/or exceeding all performance metrics and regulatory guidelines required by local, state and federal law. Seeks feedback from internal partners on the department’s brand, ways of working and team members’ performance to further improve the department.
    • Develops the recruitment strategy in the areas of, but not limited to: sourcing, recruitment gaps, fallouts, vendor selection, reporting, forecasting, internal/external communication, recruiter effectiveness, and market trends.
    • Manages the full life cycle recruitment for all of Matrix – clinical and non-clinical positions. This includes marketing positions, understanding internal talent and who is promotion-ready, sourcing, candidate experience, interviewing, negotiating offers, references and successful onboarding of new hires.
    • Educates across the recruiting teams, HRBPs and hiring managers on the recruitment process, best practices and workforce trends.
    • Partners with business and HR leaders to understand and define talent needs, the marketing approach and effectiveness of searches (job placement, advertising, trends, ROI, and job fair coordination).
    • Develops and implements creative sourcing techniques including generating leads and pipelines for high volume positions.
    • Develops metrics and problems solves gaps related to diversity of hire, recruitment capacity, time to hire, quality of hire, candidate experience and any other key metrics to optimize the recruiting team’s effectiveness.
    • Maintains internal/external P&L controls for recruitment budget.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.


    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree Business, Human Recourses, or other related field, comparable education of experience or a mixture of both.


    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • 10+ years of clinical and corporate recruiting/sourcing experience in medium to large, complex, dynamic and growing organizations.
    • 7+ years of experience with leading and managing high functioning recruiting and sourcing teams and driving time and priority management.
    • Naturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence, uses a teaching/coaching style and has an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
    • Good listener, highly articulate with a straightforward style who creates credibility at all levels of Matrix. Strong verbal and written skills and can present and discuss complex information in a way that enhances understanding while influencing toward the best outcome for Matrix.
    • Ability to be a solutions partner with Matrix’s internal client leaders and leverage market intelligence to inform and shape strategies and decisions.
    • Track record of attracting, managing and developing talent and develops strong teams through an inspiring style.
    • The ability to set clear, challenging goals and stretch metrics while committing the organization to improved performance; tenacious and accountable in driving results.
    • Demonstrated ability to provide recruitment coaching and learning opportunities to hiring managers.
    • An entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas that will stretch the organization and push the boundaries within the talent acquisition space.
