    Position Summary

This role ensures a committed portfolio of projects and functionality is aligned and implemented in releases. This role interfaces across all IT functional teams and business stakeholders to plan, manage, communicate, and provide guidance/oversight on the release framework to support successful releases; partners closely with the enterprise and team scrum masters, product owners, and development and testing leaders to pursue agile effectiveness and efficiency for the scrum teams; and operates effectively as a key driver for the release, providing a vital link between the business and

    IT divisions.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages a release process growing to support a portfolio of $8+ million in capital projects, 10-15 major applications, and 5-10 scrum teams.
    • Ensures releases are implemented within the expected timeframe and meet the functional expectations of the stakeholders.
    • Manages and drives cross-project and release level risk to resolution throughout the release cycle.
    • Creates ongoing release communications and guidance to scrum teams and IT / Business leadership.

    • Identifies the components of the release, packages them into a unified code base for testing, training and deployment, and ensures the integrity of Matrix Medical Network’s production environment throughout the entire release cycle.
    • Constructs and manages an overall release management schedule with milestones showing key dependencies between components of the release, key phase transitions for various components, key release activities such as shared testing phases, etc.
    • Proactively monitors and controls all release aspects, and provide corrective actions and communications to appropriate stakeholders as needed.
    • Develops risk mitigation strategies when teams are faced with constraints ensuring releases are on track and minimize impact due to any changes to release schedule.
    • Defines, leads or participates in enterprise and interim retrospectives during the release. Ensures insights and actions from these meetings are recorded and addressed from release to release and sprint to sprint.
    • Conducts end-of-release close-out activities including a full “lessons learned” brainstorm session and development of recommendations for future releases. Ensures that any company release process documentation is updated for these recommendations.
    • Analyzes, documents, and manages training, testing, and pre-prod environments and makes continuous improvement recommendations to put these environments on a continuous improvement trajectory for improved predictability and quality.
    • Supports additional Release Management activities, such as develop or revise processes, develop options and recommendations, identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, drive cross-team collaboration and agreement, provide guidance and direction to teams, etc.
    • Other duties as assigned.
